Club Rules & Information

Please take time to familiarise yourself with our club rules & information.

We are a very welcoming and accommodating space, where each Sifu and Si-Hing gives up their time on a volunteer basis to provide the best and safest environment to teach and learn in.

Due to the nature of the club, there are some guidelines we must adhere to, which enables us to keep the club running as effectively as possible.

CLASSES

  • Classes are suitable for ages 10 and up, all genders and abilities. We adapt classes for fitness level & disability including limb differences, wheelchair users, health and genetic disorders etc. If needed, parents or guardians are welcome to come and watch/support (or join in!) during classes. Please contact us if you have any questions.

  • Our instructors are DBS checked and First Aid trained.

  • Classes are held twice weekly. 19:30 - 21:30 every Wednesday & 10:30 - 12:30 every Sunday. Please arrive promptly.

  • New students will be greeted by an instructor and asked about any previous martial arts experience they have, any injuries they may be carrying and what they would like to achieve with their training.

  • Training can be tailored to experience and fitness level.

  • Class structure follows an approx. 1/2-hour warm up, followed by 1.5 hours training on techniques, forms and movements. Classes are relaxed and friendly, with plenty of opportunity for drink breaks and questions.

  • For insurance and liability purposes, you may be asked to fill out your contact details upon arrival.

  • For each class, please wear comfortable, work-out wear and comfortable trainers. Is it a good idea to bring a drink. You may wish to bring a small towel. Please note, there are no changing facilities at the club.
